Location & Directions

From Chicago (and points west):

Take I-94 East across the Michigan state line. Take exit 4A onto U.S. 12 East (toward Three Oaks/Niles). After a 16.7 mile drive, turn left onto Bakertown Road. Drive almost two miles and take a left onto Elm Valley Road. One mile later you will see our sign pointing you to the right (when the road splits) onto East Clear Lake Road. Another mile and, just after the dead end sign, you will see our fence and cabins on the left. Turn left into our entrance. The lodge/office is ahead on your right.

From Detroit (and points north):

From I-94 take exit 30 onto U.S. 31 South (toward Niles/South Bend). Twenty miles later, take exit 5 to Niles-Buchanan Road and turn right. Follow Niles-Buchanan Road through the town of Buchanan (where the road you are on becomes Front Street), and the road will end with a stop sign at Bakertown Road. Turn right, then immediately left onto Elm Valley Road. One mile later you will see our sign pointing you to the right (when the road splits) onto East Clear Lake Road. Another mile and, just after the dead end sign, you will see our fence and cabins on the left. Turn left into our entrance. The lodge/office is ahead on your right.

From Indianapolis (and points south):

Take U.S. 31 north toward South Bend. Take the ramp onto U.S. 20 West/U.S. 31 North. After crossing the state line into Michigan, take exit 3 onto U.S. 12 (Sturgis/New Buffalo). Turn left (west) toward New Buffalo/Buchanan. After 4 miles, turn right onto Bakertown Road. Drive almost two miles and take a left onto Elm Valley Road. One mile later you will see our sign pointing you to the right (when the road splits) onto East Clear Lake Road. Another mile and, just after the dead end sign, you will see our fence and cabins on the left. Turn left into our entrance. The lodge/office is ahead on your right.

From the I-80/90 Toll Road:

Take exit 72 for U.S. 31 (toward Niles/South Bend/Plymounth). Follow the signs for U.S. 31 North. After crossing the state line into Michigan, take exit 3 onto U.S. 12 (Sturgis/New Buffalo). Turn left (west) toward New Buffalo/Buchanan. After 4 miles, turn right onto Bakertown Road. Drive almost two miles and take a left onto Elm Valley Road.
