Food Service | Crew Manager
Adam grew up in a Christian home, originally from Algonquin, IL. When he was nine, his family moved to upstate New York, where his dad worked with Word of Life Fellowship. It was there that God started planting seeds of interest in Food Service, a love for people, and a heart to serve in full-time ministry. When he was 16, his family moved to Buchanan, MI, when his dad joined Life Action, serving in a variety of positions at The Camp including managing the kitchen and Guest Services. While a “staff kid,” Adam met his future wife, Karen, who was staying with the camp director’s family during the summer.
While at a Christian basketball camp in Wisconsin, Adam (age 19) fully surrendered his life to Christ. Not long after, he felt led to serve at Life Action Camp, desiring to see God heal marriages, transform lives, and restore relationships. At the end of his first summer on staff (in 1998), he and Karen—who was serving with Life Action on a local church road team at the time—started dating. They were married in 2001 and have been blessed with five children. Currently, Adam is managing our CREW program and serves in with our Food Service team.
